About Dr. Connors
Dr. James F. Connors is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who grew up in Massachusetts. He originally wanted to pursue orthodontics like his sister but chose a career path in oral surgery as he enjoyed the challenging, immediate results of performing surgery. He and his family moved to Kentucky while he was completing his undergraduate degree, and he attended dental school with his sister. He received two additional degrees in dental and medical school before pursuing his residency.
Dr. Connors was recruited straight out of his residency to join Central Mass Oral Surgery in 2003. Joining the private practice was an amazing offer, and the practice is like his extended family. He is also available for emergency and trauma patients at UMass Memorial HealthAlliance Hospital in Massachusetts. He is focused on creating personal relationships with anyone who visits for a consultation or several oral surgery procedures that maintain a sense of confidence in every patient. The office staff is very friendly, working to make each visit a comforting and rewarding experience.
Dr. Connors received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fitchburg State College in 1994 before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He went on to medical school and received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2001. He completed an internship at the University Hospitals of Cleveland earning a Certificate of Completion of General Surgery in 2002.
All oral surgeons are required to fulfill a minimum of four years of a surgical residency program before becoming certified as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He completed his residency after medical school at the combined programs of Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland. During his residency, Dr. Connors received training in the administration of anesthesia and oral surgery procedures. Dental implants and tooth extractions are just a few of the extensive procedures he is skilled at performing.
